Chihuahuas And Feelings
Soon, my darling teen daughter will be leaving home. She just finished high school, and has joined the Navy. I am wondering how, or IF it will affect my little chihuahuas. Do they have feelings? They seem to, because they wag those tails with all their might, when I come home from being out runnig errands. Chihuahuas seem to bond to one person in the family, but MY chis seem to like everyone in our household. They favor me, but love our family members as well. I wonder if they will sulk or show any saddness after my daughter leaves. She will be in boot camp for a good 2 months, as well as schooling for another 5 months and will be gone quite awhile. I know they will remember her when she comes back home, but I am wondering, if what, kind of emotions do they have when a family member leaves ? They don't seem to have any sense of time, so maybe once she comes back in the door, it will be as if she just left? Anybody have any ideas on this?

Prissy Dog Is Sooooooo Missed.
Missing my Prissy dog has been hard. I still haven't heard from the vet clinic when I am going to receive her ashes, but I am sure it's bound to be soon now. The house has been very quiet, and I am missing the prancing of miss Priss. Not only did I take it so hard, but my teen daughter took it very hard as well. Trying to soothe her tears were hard, because I was trying to dry mine as well.
I have to say though, that I truely enjoyed every minute of having Prissy. She was a joy to have and she always made my days happy, even when life didn't always go right. I wonder if our little dogs go to a doggie heaven.......ever wonder?

A Faithful Dog
Well, summer will soon be over with and school will be starting. In our household, we have become so darned busy, that my poor doggies must have thought that I forgot about them. No, not really. I am always here in the morning to give them breakfast and fresh water, but they are normally used to me coming home around noon every day and laying down a bit to rest and they get to have me all to themselves. However, this past 2 weeks have been really so busy that I have not been able to lay down and rest with my little chis. I have been running back and forth to the barn with my daughter to see her new horse, I have been taking my daughter to band camp and getting school clothes and such. But to be very honest, no matter what, my chis have greeted me with wagging tails no matter what. What special dogs they are. They are so loving. Now, once school starts next week, things will get back to normal. Won't that be grand?
